Presented in 1980, cars of a series 208/308 used the V8 engine of 1990 cc in a body 308GTB/GTS. Unlike the 308th on which already installed system of injection of Bosch fuel, the 208th remained carburetors from 4 Weber 34DCNF. About day off with power about 155 p/a, these models were rather slow (for Ferrari), and in 1982/3 them replaced with the "loaded" options. In total it was made 160 208GTS and 140 208GTB.
To emphasize weakness of former models, in 1982 of Ferrari the turbouskoritel of K26 and system of injection of Bosch K-Jetronic fuel on the engine of 1990 cc established. Level of compression fell to 7:1, but with pressurization pressure in 0.7 bars, capacity very seriously grew - to 220 p/a. At first it was made only with a compartment form (GTB), but, year later in 1983, appeared and Ferrari 208 GTS turbo.
Externally they differ the pipes NACA before back wheels, black spoilers over a back windshield and three air outlets from a radiator, also become black. Production is stopped in 1985, 437 GTB turbo and 250 GTS turbo were made.
The 308th series was initially created by Ferrari under the model 308 GT/4 developed by the Italian design studio Bertone, and presented to public together with Dino 246 GT/GTS. But to the majority of admirers of brand a series was remembered on, become subsequently classical, to models and 308, Pininfarina created by designers.
