Mercedes-Benz E class is a family of the most powerful and luxury cars presented by this German manufacturer. The great range of body and features configuration of these cars was available since 1990 series until today’s model line. The E prefix originally stood for “Einspritzmotor” that means “fuel injection engine” in German. The first ever E-vehicle manufactured by Mercedes appeared in 1950, but that was a completely different series of cars.
Today’s Mercedes-Benz E Class model line is considered a direct successor of the 50-s model line.
The first modern E-Class representative appeared in 1995. The series was called W210 and had two body styles available, the four-door sedan and the five-door wagon. This was the first mid-size Mercedes to appear in the luxury car market. In 1999 some visual and mechanical improvements took place in the W210 E-class series. This version was sold until 2003 when it was finally replaced by the W211 series.
The W211 Mercedes-Benz E Class series was presented by the four-door sedan or five-door station wagon. The engine package was supplemented with the 5.5 liter E500 engine with the option of choosing between five- or seven-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
The W211 series were replaced by the W212 model line in 2009. This series was presented with new engine options, the E200 and E230 engines with direct injection option. Along with the usual four-door sedan and five-door station wagon two more body options appeared: the two-door coupe and convertible. This series is the current Mercedes-Benz E Calss representative that is being produced and sold today.
As for the feature package of this car, you would be amazed by the things it can do. Mercedes-Benz E Class has every possible comfort and safety feature you could ever need when riding it, beginning with the super base audio system and ending with the four-zone climate control option. And the performance of this luxury vehicle is really to die for, especially when you drive this car every day.
What do you think about this vehicle?
