Japanese manufactures of the cars has won the world’s confidence due to the unique design of their cars and the outstanding technical characteristics. Even after the discontinue of the manufacture of Nissan Silvia S15 it remains in demand.
The exterior of this car was of the traditional Japanese style. The optics of the car had the form of boomerang, it was the cause of redesign of the front of the car, it had become more streamlined and had got the sportive design. The radiator grill was hidden over the solid panel. The stiffened central section on the face bar was shortened; the side sections of the bumper had got the curved, tapering shape on which rounded fog-lights were located.
The rear bumper had become more solid, it was the reason for modification of the optics. The limiting dimensions of the car were reduced but the wheelbase remained the same. Besides this version, there were two more versions as Spec-R and Spec-S, they differed with some elements of design.
The interior of the car was represented by the stylish vehicle dashboard with the large tachometer in the middle. It was surrounded with the speedometer from the one side and the temperature sensor with the sensor of the fuel quantity from the other. Besides, the round clock and the sensors of the pressure of the turbine are situated on the dashboard. This model was equipped by the 2L 4-cylinder engines which had the modified control (SR20DE) and the gas-distributing (DOHC-I4).
In combination with the manual transmission this power unit had the capacity of 165 horsepower and with the automatic transmission it could provide the power of 160 hp. The other engine type SR20DET was characterized as Turbo-I4 DOHC, it could provide the capacity of 250 hp (with the manual transmission) and 225 hp (with the automatic one). The maximum torque, depending on the engine type, was 192-275 Nm, the maximum speed was 190-225 km / h.
The engines were offered with the 3 types of transmission: 5- or 6-speed manual one and 4-speed automatic.
The chassis had the independent suspension for all wheels. The type of the brakes was circular. The safety was provided by ABS.
