Toyota Corolla Levin was presented to the world in 1989. The first generation of this model represents a traditional coupe that had received the following overall dimensions: height - 1300 mm, width - 1670 mm and length - 4245 mm.
The vehicle was built on the base of rear-wheel drive platform. The main driving force for it acted gasoline power aggregate with volume of 1,5 or 1,6 liters which worked together with a three or four-step automatic transmission and five-step mechanic transmission. The vehicle could develop a maximum power of 94 horsepower, while its torque was 6000 rev/min. The engine was situated at the front side of the car. The fuel engine using unleaded gasoline AI-92 and AI-93, the volume of the fuel tank counted 50 liters. The average fuel economy of the car was about 13.2 liters per 100 kilometers. All the torque of five-seated coupe Toyota Corolla Levin transmitted from the engine to front wheels by four-speed automatic transmission. Its interior damnations were following: height - 1085 mm, width - 1380 mm and length - 1705 mm. At the same time wheelbase of the Corolla Levin was 2430 mm and its ground clearance was 150 mm. Laden mass of the car was 1000 kg.
Concern Toyota presented Toyota Corolla of the second generation in 1991. New version was equipped with petrol power aggregate, which had 16 valve cylinders and capacity of 1.6 liters. Brakes of the Toyota Corolla Levin at the front wheels were with ventilated disc brakes and at the rear wheels were installed barrel-type brakes. The basic packaging arrangement was equipped with only the front fog lights. Installation of central locking, hatch, cast aluminum wheels and power windows were the options. Toyota Corolla Levin obtains high corrosion resistance, excellent build quality, even nowadays. It the time vehicle has an outdated look, but still continues to be popular in the secondary car market, due to a decent road performance and high reliability of all components and assemblies. Production of Toyota Corolla Levin was closed in 2000.
