Mercedes-Benz C-Class (Comfortable class) is a series of Mercedes-Benz cars of average size. Designation C-Class was introduced in 1993 because of the division of the in-plant classification of produced models into classes in size. In 1996, the C-Class was expanded with station wagon S202. In 2001 it was replaced with S203, and in 2007 with S204. Some models of coupe CLK, liftbek CLC, and the GLK SUV class were also created on the base of C-Class.

The name of the entire line of power units is Blue Efficiency.
The range of petrol engines has a capacity from 156 horsepower for four-cylinder engine to 306 hp for 6-cylinder C 350. Fuel consumption of Mercedes-Benz C 180 is an average of 6.7 - 7.3 liters per one hundred kilometers. Diesel engines are more efficient as fuel consumption reaches from 4.8 to 5.3 liters per one hundred on the 120-strong model, and from 7.0 to 7.2 for the 6-cylinder version which capacity is of more than 230 hp.
The standard equipment of every Mercedes-Benz of C-Class 2012 includes: system of stability and traction control, driver's knee airbag, ABS, front thorax airbags. The standard set also includes Assist system, which monitors a signs of drowsiness and inattention. Airbags of the back side of the chest come as standard in coupe and optional in the sedan.
