In the year of 1987, there was launch of two compact cars from the Chrysler Corporation, namely Dodge Shadow and the Plymouth Sundance which were formatted and designed to replace the previous model of Dodge Charger. Some other models that were also replaced and ceased in production after the launch of this version include names like Dodge Omni, Plymouth Turismo and more. The Shadow model is also recorded to have replaced the market of AMC, the sedan car launched by the Renault Alliance in the year of 1987. The car was built to suit the streets of Europe, Michigan and Toluca of Mexico with the first car assembly done to be rolled out on the 25th August 1986.
Also recognized as the Chrysler Shadow at Mexico and Chrysler ES at Europe, the production of this car was done within 1987 to 1994.
The configuration of the car was done at the Sterling Heights and Toluca of Mexico. The vehicle was formatted as the compact variety with two door convertible style and three door hatchback style. With FF layout and P body platform, this car version was related to Plymouth Sundance.
