Holden, a General Motors division, as functional in Australia comes up with this Holden HQ version of car in Australia within 1970 and 1974. HQ series was introduced in the markets as the substitute of HG series. Since its origin in the markets from 1948 the car was marked with its first redesigned version. This restyled car sports a new suspension system and chassis. This passenger car was represented in the markets as sedan and station wagon fitted with four doors and five doors respectively.

 

The range included a longer wheelbase. The HQ engines are fitted with six cylinders scoring high over the previous HG series. This happens to be the first Holden version that bears a semi-chassis framework. Other fresh features of the HQ models are four-wheel coil springs and flow through ventilation. HQ series are well marked with chassis truck, panel and utility vans. Lots of emphasis was given over the safety issues. HQ holds fair position in the automobile markets with the varieties of the utility vehicles. The enlarged versions of six cylinder bearing Inline engines are the charging unit of the car. In Australia this HQ version models are visible in the racing tracks also. This car bears resemblances with the models of the past. It behaves exce4llently as it delivers passengers. So many varieties of models are available under this single series.
