Vespa LX is manufactured by the Italian scooter manufacturer Piaggio & Co S.p.A and the first scooter was manufactured in 1964 from a single model.  Vespa is the one among the 7 companies owned by Piaggio. The Vespa LX 150 is the current model of two-wheeler being manufactured by the Italian firm. The scooter features the single frame used in the LX 50 but the engine is a 150cc capable of achieving 95kmph (59mph). This 150cc scooter uses the same 4-stroke single overhead camshaft engine featured in all model Vespa scooters and is constructed with steel frame. The fuel economy for the scooter is reported at 70-75mpg US.

 

Automatic torque slave transmission is featured in the LX models and it has front disc and rear drum for brakes. LX initials featured in the 2006 model stand for 60 in Roman which represents the sixtieth anniversary of Vespa which was started in 1946.  The scooter starts with a base price of $4,399 and bears a warranty lasting 12 months. It runs on premium gas fuel and can be started either by electric ignition or kick-start.  Vespa LX 150 is operated on CVT transmission and it has a tank capacity of 2.3 gallon or 8.6 litre. Wheel base of the scooter is 50.4 inches.
