Cagiva Mito has been a small engine motorbike produced by Cagiva since 1986 and it was classified as Sports Bike. It had a 2-stroke single cylinder engine displacing 125cc and had a wheelbase of 54.1-inches. At the scale it weighed 129kg dry and was able to store 3.7 US gallon of fuel in its tank. It was also the first motorcycle used by Valentino Rossi, who eventually scored 9 MotoGP world championships. When he was offered a factory Mito he won the Italian title with it. In the 1994 the bike was a top competitor for the Aprilia’ FUTURA.  Production of Mito was suspended in 2012 owing to strict environmental emission norms and the resource concentration on the MV Agusta’s F3. Last of the Mitos were produced in while hue and they were personally endorsed by Giovanni Castiglioni, the MV Agusta CEO. In 1989 the Mito was launched as the Mk I and later it was followed by Mk II with a few modifications. Last produced SP versions were offered with updated suspension and rims. They also had diverse ignition and engine parts to other models. The bike was restyled in 1994 by Massimo Tamburini modelled on the Ducati 916 which was also penned by him. One can easily spot the similarities in the front and the rear.
