The Renault 8 was manufactured by French automaker Renault between 1962 and 1973. The car was also known as Renault 10, Dacia 1100 and Bulgarrenault 8/10. Renault 8 continued in production in Spain from 1965 to 1976. It is classified as a small family car and was offered in 4-door saloon body style.  The vehicle had RR layout and used a large range of powertrian configuration starting from 956 cc I4 to 1289cc i4. Transmission for the model was available in 3-speed manual, 4-speed manual and 5 -speed manual. Wheelbase of Renault 8 was 89.4-inches and its dimension read out like 157.5inches length, 58.7-inches width and 54.1 inches height. In the chronological order the model was preceded by the Renault Dauphine and its successor was the Renault 12. The Renault 10 was a more of a high profile car which was eventually replace by the Renault 12. Production of the Renault 8 came to an end in 1973 in France. The design of the Renault 8 greatly matched the FWD prototype tipo 103 released by Alfa Romeo in 1960. Renault and Alfa Romeo had a business agreement in the 50s and 60s. While Alfa Romeo built Renault Dauphine Renault was selling the Alfa Romeo cars and the R4 in Italy under license.
