Mercedes-AMG
Mercedes-AMG

Mercedes-AMG GmbH is usually called the AMG and it manufactures and personalizes Mercedes Benz brand vehicles and has it s head quarters at Affalterbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.  It was initially an independent company but later became specialized in performance improvements for Benz and Daimler-Benz AG bought controlling stock in 1990 and in 2005 it became the sole owner. The company is now a subsidiary of the Daimler AG. Apart from automobiles it was also involved in manufacturing car engines. The company served a wide area and products manufactured by the company included A 45 AMG, CLA 45 AMG, C 63 AMG, E 63 AMG, S 63 AMG, S 65 AMG, SL 65 AMG and several others in the AMG line. The products also included 6.0L-V12 Biturbo engine and SLS AMG 6.3L V8 engine. Models manufactured by AMG are more aggressive and offer top level performance, stability and better handling than their counter parts from Mercedes and use carbon fiber excessively. They are typically highest performing and costliest of each Mercedes class excepting the non-AMG V12 versions. In contrast to the Mercedes-Benz, AMG vehicle versions have two numerals in the badge in place of the three. In 1999 DaimlerChrysler acquired 51% of the AMG and renamed it as Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
