The Triumph THUNDERBIRD 1700 Custom Motorbike is out in the market
The new triumph Thunderbird 1700 has been reviewed and for the American market it is the LT where as the Commander appears in the European market. The commander, a naked version of LT is a hoot for a ride. Going in to the third or four with the competent brakes greatly assuring the ride does not get any better.
Without screen and panniers etc the Commander has become light though it is not a sports model and predictable and engaging riding makes it a hugely entertaining bike. The review further says that the engine does not pose any surprise and the 111lb-ft torque has enough force in it to gobble up more miles. When you drive on higher speed the bike becomes a joy to ride. Most of the platform of the commander is shared with the LT and it includes magnesium alloy wheels shorter travel shockers and a tweaked bar position. Twin-Engine pours out 93bhp and the bike achieves a top speed of 130mph. engine has a displacement of 1299cc and it is a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled DOHC, 8v parallel twin. Owners would have few complaints about this Triumph but the price tag of £12,999 is quite stiffer for a roadster but is still below the equal Harley class.
