There is no M4 GranCoupe in BMW’s pipeline
There is no M4 GranCoupe in BMW’s pipeline

In the past few years BMW seemed to have looked at its lineup carefully and decided to make a car for each of the segment it found whatever the size of the vehicle is. Looks like it has decided to show restraint with high performance vehicles like the M division hence customers cannot expect a M4 Gran Coupe in the BMW dealerships in their area in the near future.

Jörg Bartels. Sales chief of M GmbH told Cars Guide Australia that the issue was certainly pondered over however it did not materialize into building the M4 Gran Coupe for some time. According to him the sedan just cannot be a wise financial decision. BMW is already assembling the M3 and M4 in separate plants and further addition to the niche could prove to be too much. However the M3 is already filling the slot for the segment.

The dream of possessing a M model which could offer more trunk space is shattered by the Sales Chief when he further stated that BMW won’t be having a M3 GranTurismo hatchback it its pipeline. Only the M4 convertible remains from the family and it is finding its way into the US dealerships in the summer.
