When ‘SUV’ in Indian is concerned, it is either a big beast with muscular giant or a light and agile crawler, which can scamper across the streams and rocks. However, the new Koleos from Renault is neither of these, yet called SUV.
Renault had done a lot of homework to make it more enticing than ever before.
The new Koleos also has the same old good looks, but unlike a namesake facelift, the 2014 model has something fair on to it. You can see the new bumper and grille on front and the diamond logo of Renault has got larger and prouder in the middle. On the sides, the noticeable change is the chrome rub strip and the new wheels. They are much appealing with the five-spoke design with top-spec 4x4 AT. Nothing have changed much at the rear.
At the inside, the front passenger can enjoy electric controls, which is something other SUVs of this sector will not offer. Advanced features like keyless entry, dual zone climate control, automatic wipers and headlamps, one touch cruise control and booming Bose audio system are noticeable. Special features include hill descent control, hill start assist, ESP and 6 airbags, which comes standard in the automatic variant. The bootspace is also reasonably large with 450 liters and there is a split-type tailgate. The engine is a 2.0-litre diesel dCi with 170 bhp and 360Nm.
