It is easy to imagine Bernie Ecclestone of Formula One as a James Bond Villain with a maniacal smile on his face and a cat in his hand. He may even appear to be person whom you would not rub the wrong way.
Now the bribery trial in Germany put behind, Ecclestone is planning to take revenge on his detractors. You better watch out, foes!
In an interview to a UK newspaper Independent, Ecclestone said that he is now in a position where he can spare more time and he would toe the old life idea of “\'Don\'t get mad, get even”. He said that he is not mad but he will get even. Dieter Hahn, the German businessman from constantin Medien is the first target and he accused Ecclestone of undervaluing the F1 shares so that CVC, the competing company would buy them. He tried to sue him but lost.
It is quite possible for the CVT to put up the shares they bought for sale in future and it amounts to an ownership of 35% in F1. It is likely that Ecclestone himself would be angling to get it back. However he claimed that buying the shares back is not in his priority list.
