We said last May in advance of the presence of a 2015 Porsche Cayman GT4, which is likely to be based on the visceral structure of the present 911 GT3. Now we present you with the photos of the prototype which appears ready hundred percent to enter the showroom.
If this is intended for production, then the prod-spec GT4 answers the modifications that appeared in the prototype way back which include front fascia, duck-tailed deck lid spoiler, rear diffuser, the front hood duct like with the GT3 etc. The design of the rear spoiler was the only one to have come to change while the mirrors and wheels have been borrowed from the top profile Porsche car models. When the cover was ripped off, the tail lamps and DRLs, show not much surprising change which allows us to see the car we had always wanted to see.
Under the hood, specifications cannot be confirmed by us right now. We would expect the Porsche Cayman GT4 to inherit a more power enhanced 3.4 Liter Boxer six-cylinder which is presently capable of generating 340hp in the GTS or it could be the 3.8 Liter producing 400hp from the Carrera S. We hope Porsche reaches for the later as it is a better engine.
No further information is forthcoming from Porsche presently, and official information from out site would be available to you as soon as we manage to gather it on the GT4. You don’t need to wait much as it could be as earlier as the Detroit Auto Show next week and also at the Geneva Auto Show to be held in March this year. However do not expect the GT4 to look any different than what is shown without camouflage which augurs well for us and should be one hundred percent fine with you too.
