Subaru WRX and WRX STI performance cars get more luxury features as they are upgraded
The WRX and WRX STI performance cars from Subaru have been the latest and have been in sales just for one year only, but the maker is already coming with some upgrades for these fast four-door sedans. Most of these changes have been directed into upgrading the safety and infotainment systems. All the WRX and WRX STI models will be upgraded to the latest Starlink info system of Subaru with a 6.2-inch screen, Bluetooth, and a backup camera.
Apart from the new EyeSight safety pack containing adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert and lane-change assist and the hyped Starlink info. The CVT fitted WRX models get no other changes. The 2015 WRX STI Launch Edition has not been considered because the model has been launched. You can still have the WRX with the six-speed manual transmission in the base trim, and the Premium spec model with either the CVT or manual. The Limited trim also features either the manual or CVT. Only the Limited trim has been allocated to the WRX STI base model, and like it has been earlier, it will be available with only the six-speed manual transmission. Here are the prices of these rejuvenated models:
The base price of the WRX has been increased by $300 to a total of $27,390, which is attributed to the new Starlink with the 6.2-inch interface. The WRX Premium is priced at $29,690, a rise of $400 and it has new 18- inch wheels encased in summer tires, and there is an additional package for $2100 that offers 7.0 inch Starlink with Navigation, Harmon/Kardon 9-speaker audio system, and USB port, if you select manual. The WRX STI has a base price of $35,490 which is a rise of $200, but it has dual-zone automatic climate control, heated door mirrors, heated front seats, de-icer for windshield as standard features.
