To celebrate its 100th anniversary, the most famous British car manufacturer prepared a new concept. From the first look at this car you know the idea of creating it as an anniversary gift to the Aston Martin fans all over the world was a great one. The vehicle got the CC100 name, which reminds us of an old sports DBR1 model of 1959. That car brought Aston Martin the victory in the Le Mans racing.
This new concept is styled as DBR1 model but has some elements that represent the modern design of the Company’s new direction. The car is 4.5 meters long, almost 2 meters wide and weights less than 1200 kg. The CC100’s structure was made with the use of carbon fiber and also has a 6.0 liter V12 engine that is supplemented with a 6-speed transmission box. As a result of this engine and gear box fixed together the concept can accelerate to 100 km/hour speed in less than 4 seconds. The maximum speed it can get is 290 km/hour, but it, of course, is electronically limited. Aston Martin representatives say that development process of this car took less than 6 moths and this is the only copy of CC100 for now.
According to some of the sources, the exclusive CC100 is already sold. And its price, depending on the source of the information was taken from, varies from $770.000 to $1.540.00. There’s no official information about this sale, nor do the Aston Martin representatives confirm or deny it. Maybe Dubai’s Police Department is secretly purchasing special editions of sports cars?
And while we wait for some other news concerning this vehicle we can enjoy the great picture of this even greater concept. It’s sad the Company doesn’t transform some of it’s concepts into a series, even the smallest one. There sure are people in the world that’d be more than happy to buy a serial version of CC100, ultimately, this is a reminder of a great Aston of 1959 that won one of the best racing prizes any car manufacturing company could ask for. We’re talking about the Le Mans racings, of course.
