The debut of three-door HB took place in 2007. As it should be modern three door cars became an athletic interpretation of the basic model. Kia Pro-cee\'d looks much more dynamic and more aggressive than the five-door family hatchback. The model differs from the five-door version with new headlamps, slightly modified design of the rear door, and, of course, it is shorter by 30 mm. Silhouette became more squat. The front bumper has a new design, and its drawing visually expands the car from top to bottom what works on sustainability and emphasizes speed tendencies.
Development of design of Pro-cee\'d has been conducted in Europe under the leadership of the head design center Peter Schreyer, which previously worked for Volkswagen. The car will be assembled at the plant in Slovakia.
Sporty character of the car Kia Pro Ceed is emphasizes with relief on the front door. Side windows and rear rack are designed to give maximum space to rear passengers, which is always very important for the three-door Hatch. Unlike other models of the family, the exhaust pipe of Pro Ceed is not hidden with bumper. All this makes the three-door Kia Pro Ceed more stylish and gives it a sporty European C-class.
Landing behind the wheel is almost the same as in five-door car.
Engine options for Pro-cee\'d will be the same as on the currently-released model. Except for sport modification that will have only powerful versions of 1.6 liters (122 hp) and 2.0 liters (143 hp).
The world premiere of Kia Cee\'d of new generation in the back of a hatchback was held at the Geneva Motor Show 2012. With unchanged wheelbase, the car became a bit longer than its predecessor - 4310 vs. 4260 mm, but slightly narrower and lower by 10 mm - 1780 mm and 1470, respectively. Trunk volume has increased from 340 to 380 liters.
Design of Cee\'d has become more aggressive and rapid. Wide air intake of bumper emphasizes the dynamics of the car. The radiator grille of Peter Schreyer’s design has markedly increased in size. Head optics has acquired LEDs.
